Flybe introduces a more generous baggage allowance

From Tuesday 01 December 09 Flybe will increase the cost of
pre-booking a hold bag (maximum 20kgs) to £9.99 per sector. However it will be possible to pre-pay for 2 or more hold bags and attain a maximum total baggage allowance of 40kgs.

The additional cost for a 2nd or 3rd bag will be £28 per bag, per sector, with a maximum total allowance of 40kgs. A considerable saving over the previous pernicious excess baggage charges.

Passengers who choose to pay for additional bags within 4 hours of the flight will not receive the additional weight allowance and will be entitled to a maximum 20kgs.

Flybe Economy Plus passengers will qualify for a free 40kgs baggage allowance.

It is important to note that for health and safety reasons the airline is unable to accept any single bag weighing more than 30kgs.
