Easyjet - possible improvements to check in

In a bid to reduce queues, hand held devices may supplement Easyjet check in desks as early as October, with trials of a so called "Project Halo" system set to commence shortly.

According to reports the "Project Halo" devices are capable of processing passenger information and printing boarding passes.

The system will be presented at a conference in Las Vegas next month in a talk titled "Easyjet to kill off check-in desks".

Easyjet has made it clear that it will not follow Ryanair by removing check-in desks completely.
