Easyjet - possible improvements to check in
In a bid to reduce queues, hand held devices may supplement Easyjet check in desks as early as October, with trials of a so called "Project Halo" system set to commence shortly.According to reports the "Project Halo" devices are capable of processing passenger information and printing boarding passes.
The system will be presented at a conference in Las Vegas next month in a talk titled "Easyjet to kill off check-in desks".
Easyjet has made it clear that it will not follow Ryanair by removing check-in desks completely.
