New services too/from Blackpool and Belfast announced
Manx2.com has responded to growth in passenger numbers on two key routes by increasing scheduled flights to and from Belfast and Blackpool. From 06 July, Manx2.com will operate four return services a day between the Isle of Man and Blackpool, and serve Belfast with up to six flights a day.
There has been continuous growth over the three years that Manx2.com has operated the two routes with, for example, 32% more passengers flying between Blackpool and the Isle of Man in May/June 2009 compared to the same period in 2008.
Noel Hayes, Chairman of Manx2.com, said: “By providing more flights into and out of the Isle of Man we are growing these key air links to the Island and helping to stimulate the economy. Our flights now make it much easier for the business community to commute to and from the Island, and I think that a growing number of people realise how convenient, punctual and reliable our service is.
“Our unique offer of free parking and free drinks at Blackpool has proved enormously successful and the number of visitors now using Blackpool as their preferred gateway to the Island is increasing all the time.”
On most days the first flights leave for Blackpool at 07:20 and Belfast at 08:15, and the last return flights land on the Island at 20:40 from Blackpool and 20:30 from Belfast. Flights start from just £19.95 to the Blackpool, and £24.95 to Belfast, one way including taxes and charges, and can be purchased from www.Manx2.com
