Air France-KLM starts joint venture with Delta

Air France-KLM and Delta Airlines have started joint venture in which they will operate transatlantic operations as one company.

The venture is the result of the merger between Northwest and Delta last year. KLM has had a joint venture with Northwest since 1997, and Air France signed a joint venture agreement with Delta in 2007.

The venture represents about 25% of the total transatlantic capacity and covers annual revenue estimated at $12 billion. It will cover 200 daily flights and 400 destinations in Europe and North America.
